Finance is a powerful lever driving political, social and cultural change, so we need a deeper understanding of how it works and how we can we influence it. That understanding is key to picking the right targets – and tactics for an effective – and even positive engagement with the financial system. What are we trying to do: Move capital? Remove social license? Or call out key institutions on their failure to act on climate change? The more questions we ask, the better answers we get.
